 MaeLynn, lead violin in the Strings of Gold, received her Bachelor's degree in violin performance from Boston University, where she attended under full scholarship studying with Bayla Keyes. In April 2009, she was part of the Internationale Junge Orchester Akademie performing on tour in Bayreuth and several other cities in Germany. She has performed as soloist with the Lakeland Civic Orchestra and Toledo Symphony in Ohio, and has performed in numerous Boston area orchestras. From 2003 to 2005, she was a member of the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra and concertmaster in 2005. MaeLynn has participated in such festivals as Boston University’s Tanglewood Institute, Kent Blossom Music Festival, Credo, Interlochen, and Opera de Bauge in France. She has studied with Prof. Milan Vitek and Prof. Marilyn McDonald at the Oberlin Conservatory and with Ani Schnarch at the Royal College of Music in London. She has also performed in masterclass for such renown violinists as James Buswell, Christian Tetzlaff, Charles Castleman, Lewis Kaplan, and Stephen Clapp. She is currently a student of Ivan Chan at Kent State University.

 

 Sarah, violinist in the Strings of Gold, gave her debut performance at the age of eight appearing as soloist with the Akron Symphony. In May 2009, she gave her Severance Hall debut performing as soloist with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra. She has also performed as soloist with the Toledo Symphony and the Southeastern Ohio Symphony Orchestra. In 2002, she was the scholarship winner of the Sigma Alpha Iota string competition in Cleveland, Ohio; 2003, the winner of the Toledo Symphony Young Artist Competition; 2005, grand prize winner and 2006 first place winner of the Southeastern Ohio Symphony Orchestra String Competition. Sarah has received scholarships to study at such festivals and institutes as Meadowmount, Kinhaven, CREDO, Boston University’s Tanglewood Institute, and Interlochen Music Camp, where she lead the Interlochen Orchestra as concertmaster in the summer of 2005. Sarah has performed in the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, the Oberlin Conservatory Orchestra, and Opera de bauge in France. She has studied with Marilyn McDonald at the Oberlin Conservatory, Ole Bohn, Takako Masame-Cleveland Orchestra , Charles Avsharian, Walter Schwede, and currently studies with Paul Kantor at the Cleveland Institute of Music.

 

 

Danae, cellist of the Strings of Gold, was among the winners at the Cleveland Cello Society's concerto competition in 2002 and was a featured soloist with the Lakeland Civic Orchestra. She has performed in the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, the Oberlin Conservatory Symphony and Chamber orchestras, and was on tour with the Internationale Junge Orchester Akademie in April 2009.  Danae has attended such summer institutes as Interlochen's Advanced String Quartet series and Credo in Oberlin, OH. Danae has studied with Cleveland Orchestra cellist, Brian Dumm, Regina Mushavac at Baldwin Wallace, Peter Reito and Amir Elden at the Oberlin Conservatory. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree at Kent State University as a student of Keith Robinson.
